Both young and old we should consider ourselves like a “Little Flower”.
Sit quietly and imagine yourself as a little flower in the Supreme being’s garden of souls. And remember as the great Saint Therese of Lisieux said: “If every tiny flower wanted to be a rose, spring would lose its loveliness.”
Do this in a quiet place and drift into who you are, a lovely little flower. Then, think of all things around you – they are also little flowers. Plant this seed of awareness, and now you are meditating.
What fascinates most about Saint Therese is that she wasn’t afraid to be little; she loved her littleness. But she realized that it was her littleness and child-like faith that made her precious.
A special thank you to the Saskatchewan carver Ted Ohlsen for these lovely little gifts from the Boreal Forest that are spreading love all over the world.
