It was a magical moment with Mark Kemper as he reflected on this amazing table, that he custom made from wood from one of the many Okanagan Fires.

The wood that became this table pictured here came from MarDan Enterprises property in the Falkland area during the 2021 fires. 

Mark comes at this with a compassionate heart for all those affected by the recent and ongoing 2023 fires. 

Kemper stated: 

"Out of disaster, something beautiful can result. More than anything it is my dream that a table like this, made from the ruins, can provide the potential for healing for those affected deeply by the fires." 

Mark Kemper has not decided what to do with his first creation but encourages those that are interested to call him.  

His thought is those that have lost homes or structures can create something beautiful out of the wood from the property.  

Mark stated: 

"I would love to help others heal and would be happy to create living pieces of art for those that were affected by the fires."
