Emily Dahl Foundation Highlighted in CFNO Annual Report

This is very good news for The Emily Dahl Foundation.

The Community Foundation of The North Okanagan is the home of The Emily Dahl Foundation.  The EDF needed a rock-solid base that would live for eternity in the hearts and minds of all The Emily Dahl Foundation Donors and all their future generations.  A big job, indeed, but not impossible.  Emily Dahl would want us to do it no other way than to move forward with strength and determination. In this way and with this love, all our children will be proud.

It is in the hearts and minds of all of us that we will work together to bring happiness to others and fulfill Emily’s wishes.

We are here to help others. That is the goal of The Emily Dahl Foundation.

We knew that The Emily Dahl Foundation was going to become a very special place.  We have Emily Dahl herself to thank for that.  It was Emily that pointed us to this path.

I have been finding the following to be very true:

“If the path before you is clear, you’re probably on someone else’s.”

I came across this powerful quote in the deep writings of Joseph Campbell, an American Professor of literature.

You should watch the Netflix film, “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi”, then you will need to do some work to connect the dots back to Joseph Campbell, but the connection is there in the movie.

Back to the foundation, CFNO has featured The Emily Dahl Foundation in the 2020 Annual Report.

The Emily Dahl Foundation and The North Okanagan Community Foundation in all their work remind us all that true happiness and the work of all Foundations and all human beings should rest on the immense base of reality in this incredible quote by Joe Campbell, who I happened to stumble on watching Netflix.

It is amazing what you might find when your eyes are wide open, and they resist the blurriness of illusion.

“Follow your bliss.
If you do follow your bliss,
you put yourself on a kind of track
that has been there all the while waiting for you,
and the life you ought to be living
is the one you are living.
When you can see that,
you begin to meet people
who are in the field of your bliss,
and they open the doors to you.
I say, follow your bliss and don’t be afraid,
and doors will open
where you didn’t know they were going to be.
If you follow your bliss,
doors will open for you that wouldn’t have opened for anyone else.”
― Joseph Campbell

Very nice indeed that The Emily Dahl Foundation was featured.
