Emily Dahl – January 26, 2021

Thank you everyone for all your kind thoughts today.

The messages started arriving early this am from friends and family wishing us well.

It is important to meditate daily in order to build wisdom and compassion within yourself.

We draw on our own thoughts along with the deep introspection of Thich Nhat Hanh and Albert Camus as we enjoy our morning coffee.

“Our joy is like spring, so warm it makes flowers bloom in all walks of life.  Our sadness is like a river of tears, so full it can fill the four oceans.  Let’s call ourselves by our true names, so we can hear all the cries and laughs at once, so we can see that our joy and pain are one. ”

These are wise words from Thich Nhat Hanh.

The French philosopher – Albert Camus wrote something equally as powerful:

“In the midst of winter, I found there was within me, an invisible summer.”

This reminds us that no matter how much suffering one experiences, there is, within us all, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.

Meditate on this and develop wisdom of the way things are.

The Emily Dahl Foundation is here to help others see this reality.
