Eternal Message of Hope And Light From The King

The underlying message of the unity of all religions by King Charles in his Christmas address is impressive.

Equally impressive is the much deeper message that it is the light that was born, and that light exists in all of us.

The Light of Love.

Here is an excerpt from King Charles Christmas address:

"Some years ago, I was able to fulfill a lifelong wish to visit Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity. There I went down into the chapel of the manger and stood in silent reverence by the silver star that is inlaid on the floor and marks the place of our Lord Jesus Christ's birth. It meant more to me than I can possibly express, to stand on that spot whereas the Bible tells us, the light that has come into the world was born.

While Christmas is of course a Christian celebration, the power of light overcoming darkness is celebrated across the boundaries of faith and belief. So whatever faith you have, or whether you have none, it is in this life-giving light and with the true humility that lies in our service to others, that I believe we can find hope for the future. Let us therefore celebrate it together and cherish it always. With all my heart I wish each of you a Christmas of peace, happiness, and everlasting light."

In order to fully understand this "eternal light" one must dive deeper and apply intense contemplation.

His remark that it was the light that was born is incredibly powerful. The deep understanding that this eternal light is within us all is so important.

Here is another immense quote from the great Ramakrishna:

"Never get into your head that your faith alone is true, and every other is false. Know for certain that God without form is real and that God with form is also real. Then hold fast to whichever faith appeals to you."
Understanding the depths of who you are takes meditation and inquiry.

How many have been compelled by what they perceive of the condition of things on this planet to start a conscious search for the meaning of life? How much momentum have these movements actually gained? Are the marks of increased holiness, purer conduct, and decreased worldliness visible? It is true that more people seek spiritual truth now than have in the past. But their number is still so small and its increase so slow that the movement is very far from gaining decisive influence. Only a comparatively small number of persons has been aroused by world crisis to seek the inner life. Those who care for personal idealism, who aspire for self-improvement and who reach out after the divine, are still all too few. The great darkness which has affected us all in past periods still envelops too large a part of humanity. This is evidenced by wars, drug overdose problems, and many other forms of suffering. It is the cause of an avoidable mass of suffering and misery, of avertible sin and despair, which exist in the world, and which can find no better solvent than such a search for awakening.

This amazing video highlights some teachings we can all find useful.

Practise, Practise, Practise.

Dig deeply and find the stream of light within yourself.

“So long as one does not become simple like a child, one does not get divine illumination. Forget all the worldly knowledge that thou hast acquired and become as a child, and then will thou get the divine wisdom.”
— Ramakrishna
