The Power of Positive Thinking – The Emily Dahl Foundation

The Power of Positive Thinking

This lovely carving was given to Laurie Thomas by Ted Ohlsen on a recent visit in Saskatoon.

Laurie and Ted made an instant connection as they discussed loss and transformation.

This butterfly signifies the power of transformation and the incredible feats we can accomplish when we trust ourselves.

Both Laurie and Ted have shown the power of positive thinking in the face of tremendous loss and spend countless hours helping others.

Laurie Thomas lost her son Evan in the 2018 Humboldt Broncos bus crash. Laurie has become a dear friend of the Emily Dahl Foundation.

Ted Ohlsen is a Saskatchewan resident who lost his eyesight in a hunting accident but went on to build the Northern Lights fishing lodge, the first wheel-chair accessible facility of its kind in the province. Ted keeps himself busy making these hand made carvings in his retirement, which he generously donates to The Emily Dahl Foundation.

It was a magical visit.
