EMILY DAHL FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER RAISES $2800 – The Emily Dahl Foundation

EMILY DAHL FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER RAISES $2800

A HUGE THANK YOU TO TIM JONES FROM CENTURY 21 FOR HOSTING, ALONG WITH CONTRIBUTORS PAUL MORGAN, BILL HUBBARD, DOUG PUSEY, GEORGE AGAR, KEN CLANCY, MARTY HERBERT AND ALL THEIR FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!
The 80’s themed event and fundraiser of family and friends on Saturday, July 15, 2023, took place at a private residence in the North BX and featured live music by the band Feet First. The night was full of energy and fun with everyone enjoying food truck food & dancing. Everyone at the event donated to the raffle/door prizes. In addition, all the food truck proceeds went to the evening as well. In the end, the group raised just over $2800 for The Emily Dahl Foundation.

Sherman and Katie Dahl stated:

"We were overwhelmed with the generosity and love from everyone. This is a major contribution to Emily. We ran into so many people that know and love Emily Dahl. Dale Olson, one of Emily's teachers at Fulton High School was there and told us how he still looks at Emily's picture in his drawer on a regular basis. It was so special for us."

What a great party with all the proceeds of the raffle and food truck sales all going to The Emily Dahl Foundation!!

Pictured is Tim Jones (Yup that’s him!) and Katie Dahl.

Also pictured are Emily’s Grandma and Grandpa, Sherman Sr and Donna who would never miss helping anyone out!!!

Sherman Sr. turned 80 this year and tells everyone: “I am doing great, and love driving the food truck, my only complaint is the horn does not work. Us Saskatchewan farm boys would fix that right away”, Dahl said with a wink.

The food truck was donated by Lisa and Greg from Vernon Catering also pictured.

Thanks to everyone that helped and donated.

You could feel the energy of giving and love in the crowd. It was a very special night.

The event raised a major contribution to The Emily Dahl Foundation!

The foundation was started at the Community Foundation North Okanagan as a way to keep Emily Dahl’s spirit of compassion, love, and generosity alive. She passed away in January 2019 at the age of 18.
